Minimal project management for scientists, game developers and AI enthusiasts.

Planned alpha release .

Built in Rust. Our goal is the fastest, lightest task tracker that looks good and covers most team needs.

Kanban boards and Gantt timelines

The same project tasks now work in List, Kanban and Gantt views. Move cards between status columns on the board, or plan dates and durations on the timeline. Link dependent tasks and review schedule changes before applying them, with Undo when plans change. Switch views without creating copies or leaving the task discussion behind.

Files, task attachments and notifications

Project Files supports folders, previews and downloads. Attach files or documents to task descriptions, open the original and return without losing your draft. Notifications report assignments and comments, with separate controls for each type in personal settings. The update also refines pinned comment panels and keyboard navigation in formatting controls.

Deletion confirmation and resizable comments

Madoku now lets you delete spaces, projects and areas with name confirmation. We also simplified navigation and gave task comments a resizable panel that you can collapse and reopen without losing your draft. Keep what helps your work visible and hide what you do not need.

Unified editor for tasks, documents and comments

We unified the editor across tasks, documents and comments so formatting works consistently. Structured paste preserves headings and lists, while editable tables keep comparisons alongside the work. Task image galleries now support individual upload retries, so one failure does not require uploading everything again.

We added targeted block editing for agents, with revision checks to protect later human edits. We also improved task moves and reordering to handle conflicting changes and recover saved results after interrupted requests without repeating the move.

Tables in task descriptions

The new editor’s test version supports editing and formatting table cells, with keyboard navigation. Tables will keep comparisons and small sets of information inside tasks. Row and column controls are available in the test editor. Table creation is next.

Markdown and formatted text paste

The test editor now recognises headings, lists, quotes, links and emphasis in pasted text, including Markdown formatting. Content adopts Madoku’s fonts, colours and sizing, reducing manual reformatting when moving material into a task.

Icons for empty task fields

Empty assignee, priority and due date fields now use compact icons. Set values stay visible, and the icons open their selectors. Task names get more room, with less repeated text.

Project documents with folders and autosave

Project documents now sit beside the tasks, organised into nested folders. Names can be edited directly, and drafts save automatically while you write.

Immediate assignee and priority updates

Assignee and priority changes now appear immediately while saving continues in the background. Local updates preserve the surrounding list, scroll, focus and open task context.

Space and project invitation links

Spaces and projects now support invitation links. Recipients sign in with Google and explicitly accept; administrators can track pending invitations, revoke them or replace a link.

Profiles, avatars and searchable assignees

Profiles, avatars and person cards bring more context to names beside the work. The assignee picker also supports searching for people without leaving the task.

Task references after project renaming

Projects now have editable names and short keys, with consistent task references across lists and search. Earlier project keys remain recognised after a rename.

Workspace search for tasks and people

Workspace search now brings tasks and people into one panel, with highlighted matches and recent tasks. Filters and keyboard navigation help you reach the right result.

Tasks shared across projects

A task can now belong to several projects without creating separate copies. Its description and discussion stay together, while project access determines who can see it.

Images in task descriptions

Task descriptions now accept pasted or dropped images, with moving and undoable removal. This works in the development build; production image storage is still ahead.

Task description autosave

Descriptions now save automatically while you write. Drafts stay available after failed saves, and revision checks protect against silently overwriting a newer version.

Task creation, assignments and comments

The first working flow now connects task creation, assignments and comments. Status, priority and due dates give shared work enough structure to start tracking it.

Spaces, projects and areas

Spaces and projects now give shared work a clear home. Areas organise project access, establishing the structure that future tasks and discussions will build on.

Google sign-in and sign-out

Google sign-in is working in the development build, without a separate Madoku password. The sign-in page stays focused on a single action and supports signing out.
